In My Mailbox #4 – Life Won’t Get in the Way of My Book Habit!

Posted January 15, 2012 in Meme / 10 Comments

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme held over at The Story Siren.  It’s a great way to let everyone know about the books that have come into your home the past week.  Whether you bought, borrowed, or received them for review, you share your loot and then hook up over at the The Story Siren. It’s an awesome way to meet fellow bloggers and find new books to read…

… and boy did I go nuts last week!  But first, let me sidetrack a bit.  I’ve been so quiet on my blog this past week, more quiet than I wanted to be, because we had a family crisis in my household.  Needless to say, I needed some retail therapy combined with a little “leaving reality behind” and here is my over inflated mailbox!!!  OH, and I can’t forget the affect of the B&N coupon for 50% off YA books.  This haul was only around $50 with free shipping!  Yep, this is the disaster that occured…

All links go to the title’s Goodreads page.

Hex Hall (Hex Hall #1) by Rachel Hawkins ~ Are we still reading “cranky” authors? Discuss…
Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy #1) by Kiersten White
Linger (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #2) by Maggie Stiefvater
Crescendo (Hush, Hush #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick
Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
Birthmarked (Birthmarked #1) by Caragh O’Brien
Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth
Die For Me (Revenants #1) by Amy Plum

The last two books I purchased the prior week when they first came out, on the cheap, at Meijer’s (they seem to be the best place to get new releases “cheap”, at least around me).
Switched (Trylle Trilogy #1) by Amanda Hocking
Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky #1) by Veronica Rossi

What books found a new home at your house this past week???

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of “happily ever after” books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It’s for her family’s sake. When not reading, she’s homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

I see so many books I love up there, but my favorite by far is Linger. I’m a huge fan of Maggie Stiefvater’s writing, I really hope you’ll enjoy it.

  5. Holy Moly that’s some haul. I love the title “Under the Never Sky”. I am going to read that one just for the pretty name alone.

P.S I had to delete my first comment because apparently I can’t spell today.
