Need a break from all the blood and gore?  Well, I’m here to help in any way I can.  Okay, not quite any way.  But I have a few ideas for books that give you the warm fuzzies at the end, other-wise know as Happily Ever Afters (HEA for those in the know – HA!).

I’m offering you your choice of one book from these below:

For the young adult fans out there, contemps seem to have the HEAs I love the most.  I’ve read these and I wholeheartedly approve of any of these:

Perfect ChemistryRules of AttractionChain Reaction by Simone ElkelesPushing the Limits

For my adult readers, there are a few series I read that no matter what, I’ll get a great story and a HEA.  I highly recommend any of these series below.  I can say that I’m either completely current or at least halfway through any of these series!

Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter/Were-Hunter/Dream-Hunter/Hell-Chaser series

Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series

Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series

J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series

I can always negotiate but I ask that the book not be valued over $12 😀

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. I like a bit of both but if I’ve read to many happy ending stories in a week compared to blood and gore I’ll crave more blood and gore stories and vice verse 🙂

  2. Kimberley@sunnykimmylovinglife

I actually love both. I love paranoral reads, bu I also like HEAs paranormal or otherwise, mostly paranormal though. Thanks for the giveaway! Ive had my eye on PtL for a while, it’s starting to get tired 😀

  3. Lindy Gomez

I love both types of books, but choose according to the mood that I am in. Thanks for the giveaway! I love your choices for YA and adult. Thanks!

  4. Che

I love something bloody and gory throughout that ends happily. I know that’s not really picking, but it is my preference.

  5. Viki S.

I like them both but the HEA tends to win out with me :).

  6. miki

happy end^^ ( the hero can suffer in the book but the end must be happy)

    thank you for this giveaway

  7. Jan Bethel

Happy Ever Afters! hahaha! I’m a sucker for happy endings! 😉 Thank you for this great giveaway!

Give me both please! Like in Sherrilyn Kenyons Dark Hunter series. Night Play is my favorite. If pressed to choose only one I may choose HEA.

  9. Dominique

I think it sometimes takes some blood & gore to get to that happily ever after lol. I like both, but I’ll admit I tend to go the blood & gore route. Or at least, the books I read rarely ever have a “happily ever after”. (Nikki Marie on rafflecopter)

I like both…sometimes I will read a lot of one and then need a break so move to the other 🙂

  11. krsz

Depends on my moods. Usually blood and gore but a little happiness is welcome sometimes

  12. I need a little bit of both, so usually I’ll alternate. The happy, mushy, feel-goody books get to be too much one after another. I love them, but I’m gonna need some blood in there to bring it down a little, to keep me a bit more grounded.
    Thanks for the giveaway!

I love happy ever afters but sometimes books with blood and gore are nice to read as well 🙂

thank you for this giveaway 🙂

HEA! I don’t get near scary books, I’m the easiest person to scare on the planet.

  15. Cassandra Hicks

I love happy endings but I don’t mind having blood and gore in them 🙂
Also I love how my favorite series are the adult ones you listed lol
    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  16. Karem

I love both. Even better if combined. A lot of blood and gore and then a happily ever after. Nothing better 🙂

  17. Andrea

depends on my mood but i would say my favourite genre is actually a good mystery or suspense thriller

  18. Shoty

    Definitely Happily Ever After!!!
If the book doesn’t have any happy ending(or good ones,) I will be so pissed!

  19. Alicia

I love my happily ever afters, but I also love urban fantasy (which does include quite a bit of blood and gore) but the urban fantasies that I love usually do have HEAs, just no the ideal ones that you get from fairy tales.

I really don’t care for books without a happy ending.

I’m definitely a fan of both, but seem to enjoy a dominant romance (with happy ending of course) within the blood and gore!

  22. Georgia

I love both, although if Im having a bad week HEA always manages to cheer me up 😀 Thanks for the giveaway!

  23. Jasmyn

I like happily ever afters – knowing that the main characters were the good guys and everything turns out right.

  24. Brandi Slater

I always prefer happily ever afters 🙂 If they have some action and blood in them, all the better! Thanks for the giveaway!!

  25. Haily

Why can’t I have both? 😉 There’s nothing like getting a happily ever after after some blood spills, it satisfies both my crazy, violent side and my girly, “awww!”

  26. Romi I. E. Foster.

Definitely happily ever after! I can’t stand heavy gore. Thanks for hte giveaway!

  27. Theutza Theutza

It depends of my mood. Sometimes I like happy ending stories but I have moments when I’m thirsty after blood & gore 😀 :))

  28. julie rimpula (@LadyjuLierz)

I really prefer happy ever afters. I’m such a sucker for happy endings.

  29. Christina T

I prefer Happy Ever Afters but I do love action and some blood and gore along the way!!

  30. Marie H

I’ll take the blood and gore as long as there’s a HEA in the end! 🙂

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  31. Danielle B!

I prefer happy endings as long as they aren’t perfect and cheesy (Twilight’s ending was way too perfect). Thanks! 🙂

  32. Szappanbubi

Honestly, it depends on my psychical mood which I prefer but mainly I go for happy-endings !

  33. Ayse

I love happily ever afters. Most of the time I’d rather not read the book if it isn’t going to have a happy ending.

  34. Holly B

I am definitely more of a blood & gore girl 🙂 Well, actually I’d probably say more of a psychological thriller/dark character study/sad or scary type girl! I don’t like tons of blood & gore, but at the same time I dislike too much sweetness even more. I definitely do not have to read books that have HEAs, & frankly sometimes I actively don’t want the HEA. I’m perfectly fine reading books that have sad, “broken” endings! (yes, that probably means there’s something wrong with me, I know…)
