Sunday Post and a Little Clock Rewinding #10

Posted December 16, 2012 in Meme / 9 Comments

sunday-post-catClock Rewinders on a Book Binge is a Sunday re-cap post started by Amanda at On A Book Bender and Tara at 25 Hour Books.  It’s a chance to share our love of other blogs.  The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

This week was a slow week for me due to Christmas shopping and a freaking migraine, AGAIN, caused by my insurance company, my doctor’s office, and a little formality called “prior authorization”.  It’s a migraine medicine – I have a headache, would you rather I show up in the ER every time I get a headache?  When I call to complain, don’t expect a happy camper, I’m in railroad-spike-through-the-eyeball pain…  but I digress.

Question for you WordPress-ers: did you update your WordPress?  Notice any changes/problems?  I noticed that my “cloned” posts don’t allow me to re-tweet them using Publicize.  And I’m getting more spam, even though Akismet looks fine (yup, updated that one, too).   Oh, so many tweaks to fix on the blog… It’ll be a beautiful day in Michigan when I can figure out how to get my post titles to come out of Feedburner without html code for punctuation marks and other symbols.

I’m not requesting too many review books right now but there are some I just can’t pass on.  Here’s what I received and bought in the last two weeks (click on images to go to the Goodreads page for the book):

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. I updated to WP 3.5 and didn’t have any issue with my WP tweet button until today. (My Clock Rewinders post was never tweeted.) That’s the only issue I’ve had. I do know, though, that Feedburner and Publicize make weird symbols when you tweet if you view the tweets through a 3rd party app. It looks fine on Twitter’s website–but not anywhere else. Hmph. Oh. And spam just comes and goes. Sometimes there’s a ton of it, and sometimes there’s not. I’ve been getting more spam recently, too.

Can I just say? I’m really excited to see that you have Dragon Bound. Love that book (and series).

  2. DRAGON BOUND!!!!! YESSSSSSSSSS! I love that series so much! Definitely wise to start at the beginning, you don’t want to miss out on Dragos:) I love the series as a whole, but Dragos will always be my favorite! Really looking forward to Demon Lover too. SO MANY GOOD BOOKS!

  3. Here I am , as promised. So far I have gotten nothing done today except answer, emails comments and talk to my sister on the phone for an hour. Sigh… anyway some great titles up there. Yeah for Misty’s book. I was not a big fan of Carnival of Souls it was good but not great… I also have the Water Witch and Demon Lover and they will be on my blog for Fire and Ice. Anyway thanks for your sweet emails. Migraines suck I know I used to get them all the time.
