Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is a Sunday re-cap post started by Amanda at On A Book Bender and Tara at 25 Hour Books.  It’s a chance to share our love of other blogs.

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

It’s been over a month since I’ve done a “haul” post.  I’m so completely torn on these type of posts, at least for myself.  I love reading them on others’ blogs so I can see what everyone is getting to read.

This is so totally just ME, but I feel like I’m showing off what I’m getting to read.  But then I think, why not show the books I’m buying because I’m buying some books based on what everyone else is reading.  I’m buying books because they’re cheap right now.  I’m getting books from the library.  And then there’s those blasted review books I can’t seem to keep my hands off of…

Not much else going on in my world.  I’m on a romance bender of late and I’m actually looking at changing up the design of my blog (again) to reflect it.  I’ve seen so many beautiful blogs lately that I think it’s about time again.  But first I need to finish my web design course so I can use my Thesis template!

My son is doing fantastic with his homeschool program – we’re doing k12.com and I think it’s absolutely fabulous!  My hubs is getting paid again (phew!  silly gov’t shutdown).

I’m wondering… anyone thinking about going to ALA in Las Vegas this next summer?  I’m really hoping to go…

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of “happily ever after” books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It’s for her family’s sake. When not reading, she’s homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

Sorry I have commented in a While. I’m happy everything is going great in your personal life. I loved travis and harper in something like normal. Happy reading

  2. YAY for getting paid!

I sometimes find myself conflicted about the sharing posts also but it is a good way to highlight books and you know, share them, with readers. I pick up books because I’ve seen them on a blog and someone may pick up a book that we’ve shared. I think that attitude we have in our posts and how we share makes a big difference.

    Anyway, happy reading!

  3. Seven Years looks yummy, and I don’t think of it as showing off for these posts. I love finding new books, and often I find them on these memes. I also receive a lot of books from publishers, and cannot read them all, but it offers me a chance to showcase them. My hope is that someone will see the book, click on it and discover a new read. Plus I also showcase other blogs and events and love that part of the meme. Hugs and so glad your son is rocking it home school style!

  4. I like these post because 1) I like hearing how everyone’s week was and 2) I often discover new books or that a certain ARC is available. Then again, maybe I’m just nosy.

I’ve been on a contemporary kick the past week or so, apparently. But I want to change my blog because I’m sick of it. lol.

That’s great that the homeschooling is going so well!
