Sunday Post #19 – I’m just following the crowd ;)

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Last week I really tried to get into trolling the blogs and finding some new blogs to follow.  While I didn’t find any new peeps to follow, I did find some great books to add to my bloated review pile.  I need to come up with a new organizational system to keep track of books to read and when to read them by.  I might try index cards since the calendars hanging up on my bulletin board aren’t cutting it.

Monday was my blog’s second birthday – crazy I’m still here, huh?!  I started blogging 11/11/11 – I hadn’t even planned that!  And even though I’m the least consistent blogger ever (probably), I still love yapping about books and promoting those that I LOVE.  My library job has just grown my love of books.

I’m thinking about doing something on my blog at the end of the year to celebrate my anniversary.  We’ll see…

This past week I was inspired by all the Waiting on Wednesday posts I made it to.  I also need to remember to buy those books that I’ve been waiting for!!  My Goodreads lists are a mess….

So… what new goodies did you get this past week?

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. I think its the 10th time I seen The Taking this morning heh! Hope you enjoy it though, it does look like a great read. I get the whole better management system. I think I need it too 🙁

  2. Happy 2 year blogoversary, and welcome to the 2 yr. club. I use Google calendar because it syncs to my phone as well. When a new book arrives I add it to my calendar at or around the release date. Then fill in around those dates. It works really well, and I can see at a glance whether or not to accept a book.

I think I might just try that! I’ll let you know how it goes! At least I’d have my calendar with me all the time, then! Thanks!!

I thought that, too! Gas N Sip, phhht. It would have been slightly distracting if they called it a Stop N Rob like what we call our stores in Ohio…. 😀

  3. yeah! Congrats on your Second Anniversary. Mine is officially today, but I did the post on it yesterday. I hear ya. I am having a hard time keeping up on blogs, so I just manage the ones I have grown with. I put everything in my icalendar on my computer and that has helped me stay organized and hopefully this year I will really maintain control over the TBR.
