What is up with this winter?  Another foot of snow is dumping on my lawn as I write this post.  I don’t even want to think about all the dog poop that will surface in the Spring (eeewwwwwww)!  But at least it’s a balmy 33°….

I have a geeky confession to make: I’m so completely excited for The Lego Movie coming out this coming Friday!!!  I took off work so I could go with grommet and hubs.   I grew up on Legos.  I got my first set in 1976 and I still have them!  I can barely control myself everytime we go to the store, I want to buy more and more Lego Movie sets for the grommet to build.  I did spend $13 each on Uni-kitty and a Bad Cop flashlight keychains.  They are awesome-sauce times infinity!!!!  Uni-kitty is mine, Bad Cop is the grommet’s.

Almost forgot, The Lego Movie video game comes out on Tuesday.  Yep, that was pre-ordered at GameStop weeks ago 😀

  1. Omg, you are such a nerd. lol – no, that kitty is so cute! I was never really into legos. I did enjoy setting numerous booby traps throughout the house, though. And turning my barbies into punks. Heh. I hope you enjoy the movie AND the game. I really liked Kluver’s other series, so I’m curious about The Queens Choice.

  2. I grew up on Legos also. My son loves them which gave me even more reason to be able to play with them.
My daughter would love the Uni-Kitty I will have to go shopping to get her one 🙂

Great book haul! Really want to to read Grim can’t wait to see what you think!

    Have a great week
Because reading is better than real life

  3. My family and I love Lego too, such fun! I didn’t know there was a movie coming out, but whilst writing this comment I have discovered that it’s due out here in Australia in April so I guess my son will be dragging me to that! 😀

You have some nice reads there this week. Enjoy!

  4. I love legos! I have a Hobbit hole, avengers jet and prision block all set up on top of my entertainment system. I use to love getting legos for Christmas. I’d set them up on the fireplace and play for hours. You have a nice batch of books this week too. I have Grim as well and I’m really curious to see how it goes.

  5. You make me laugh. WE grew up with Legos at our house as well, My brother played with them for hours. Nothing like stepping on legos in the middle of the night with bare feet, right? I think the Lego movie looks really funny. I will definitely be renting it. I hope you review it on your blog!
