Let’s NOT talk about the weather.  It sucks!  Where the heck have I been for the past week or so?  Well, the grommet has decided that he LOVES to play on MY computer after he’s done with his school work so I’m having a tough time getting online and posting on my blog.  I can get on for a bit after work from 9:30 until I fall asleep sitting upright.  Yeah… I’m not that productive at night 🙁

I saw The Lego Movie when it came out.  AWESOME movie!  I think my hubs and I enjoyed it more than the grommet did.  Grommet is now afraid of Will Farrell.  If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll understand why.

arc party

Because I didn’t make it into work the Thursday before last, we had two boxes of ARCs from Baker & Taylor to open and “devour” this week.  Needless to say, I came home with a nice pile of books and still some more that will be making their way to me after my fellow YA co-hort, Laura, finishes reading them.

Otherwise, you’ll notice I picked up quite a few ARCs as of late.  I just haven’t been taking ARCs lately so I’m now filling in the months of May, June, July, and further out.  That’s what all the craziness is!!!

This Tuesday, February 25th, I’ll be heading down to Ann Arbor, MI to attend the Kim Harrison book signing for The Undead Pool.  This will mark my fourth (or fifth, I’ve lost track) book signing with Ms. Harrison.  Monday I’ll have my review of The Undead Pool up, along with a really awesome giveaway related to the book signing.

Let’s all hope March comes in like a lion so it can go out like a lamb.  Sound good?

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. I AM SO JEALOUS and I want to be you right now 🙂
That is an amazing haul! All those beautiful covers. So jealous lol

I 100% understand how you feel about the computer and working at night. I have two that are on the computer ALL the time and I never get on until after they go to bed but by that point I want to lay down, So I have been so behind of everything. Hoping to get a laptop for my birthday so at least then I can be more productive. I have been temped to find a used PC and put in my sons room so they can keep off the computer but I think I prefer a laptop for myself haha

Hope you have a great week!!

  2. Holy haul! I have a few of the ones you have, and others that I want! I really want to read On the Fence, but I haven’t read the first one yet. I should get to that. I just finished Pivot Point and I really like her writing! You have a lot of reading ahead of you! Enjoy them all! My STS: http://www.thecovercontessa.com/2014/02/staking-shelves-8.html

  3. Shut-up, Kristin! Just for getting to see Kim AGAIN, I curse you with more cold weather. 😛 Tell her I LOVE HER! And then send her my way. I’ll lift the curse if you do – lol.

    Whew-ee that’s a lot of books.
