The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Remember that really awesome, old IBM commercial where the man demands his flying car?  Maybe not, it did come out at the turn of the century.  But that’s where I got inspiration for this week’s Sunday Post title.  I can’t stand watching Home Depot commercials where happy couples are putting in fabulous green and colorful gardens.  It’s freaking snowing outside!!!

This was last week when I left work

  1. I remember that commercial! And he’s right, we were promised flying cars. I want my flying car! And Spring seems to be taking its sweet time in getting here. Enough already with winter!

Nice haul this week! Can’t believe that I haven’t read anything by Sanderson yet, even though I have a few of his books on my shelf. Need to buckle down and start reading my older books! Have a great week!

  2. LOL – I shouldn’t laugh, but that shit is funny. If it makes you feel any better, it’s raining here. It’ll be back to sunny 70s/80s next week though. Sorry, sorry! You got What Women Want – I want to read that? I wonder what she had sent to me.

  3. I am so glad we rarely get snow here in Oregon. I grew up in Idaho and I hated that it snowed practically every month of the year. I always hated getting snow storms in March and April when you are fed up. Hopefully this will be the end of it. I am getting a copy of April Tucholke’s book and I can hardly wait for it to show up. Hope you have a terrific week!

  4. Very jealous of Between the Spark and the Burn! I actually know April, she’s local. I wonder if the pub would send it for that reason? 😉 Actually, I never really request books anymore so I’ll probably wait, or see if the local bookstore gets an ARC, they often pass them along to me.
Hope the snow leaves you soon, people are complaining about that a lot of places!

I know what you mean about being promised spring and having your hopes dashed lol. Here in Toronto we’re dealing with the same thing. I hope you enjoy your new books this week, I have the first book in that Brandon Sanderson series on my bookshelf (determined to at least start it this month). I wish my mister read more but well…its a losing battle lol. He likes reading but can never settle down to read (or leave me alone to read)
Thanks for stopping by my Sunday Post (and sorry for the long comment!)
