About the book:

Everything she believed in was a lie…

After facing the fact that her boyfriend was an abusive sociopath and their entire relationship was a sham, Olivia Beckett is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. If she was the only one suffering for her mistakes, she might be able to handle it. But when she went down, she dragged the one person she never wanted to see hurt down with her…

Bash McDaniels was just weeks away from finally blowing out of his hometown to make it as a boxer and never coming back. Saving Olivia Beckett from her violent boyfriend should’ve been a speed bump at most, but love stopped him in his tracks. Now, instead viewing Boston in his rearview mirror, he’s viewing it through prison bars…

Bash was her savior when she needed him most. Now, Olivia has to find a way to repay the favor, knowing all the while that freeing him might mean losing him forever…

This is part two in the three part serial Fix You.  I really enjoyed the romance from part one and surprisingly enough, the cliffhanger-ish ending to part one didn’t bother me one bit.  I think knowing that part two was right around the corner helped!  Thankfully, part two did not let me down on the romance.

Yeah, yeah…  not everyone is a fan of the serial format.  I had the opportunity to read and review this series so I gobbled it up based on the premise and the timing of the “books”.  They were only a month apart.   This one worked for me personally but if you want the entire story, it’s only $4.99 on Amazon right now (about what you pay for an ebook anyways).

After what I would call an awkward beginning to a relationship, Bash and Olivia are proving that they truly have chemistry together.  I really enjoy Ms. Bell’s writing style.  She does a great job illustrating the couple’s mutual attraction for each other in completely different voices in her story’s dual POV.  I really love a woman writer who can write a guy’s voice well – not too perfect and all man 🙂

Ms. Bell does a fine job writing supporting characters that you just want to throttle over the head with pipe wrench for their stupidity.  One such supporting character does indeed make a stupid mistake for the sake of the plot so my aggression towards a certain brother of Bash’s is totally warranted.

Unfortunately, it was this whole added plot twist that hogged “page time” in part two therefore I didn’t learn anything new about the abusive sociopath boyfriend and his meddling ways.  Really, he was basically MIA.

But, by the time we were nearing the end of the book, I was gladly sidetracked by some phenomenal lovin’ between our awesome couple and a crazy, didn’t-see-that-coming, plot twist.  I just hope there’s a beautiful HEA at the end of this ride or I’m going to seriously be pissed!!!

I just bought book three so I’ll let you know 😉

She doesn’t like clowns or bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but loves movies, football, and playing Texas Hold ‘Em. She loves writing fun, sexy romance and deep, emotional new adult novels, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to dig his eyes out with rusty spoons.
