No soap boxin’ this week.  It was a slow week for me.  I didn’t get much done and not much happened.

I did see that fabulous signed letter from the HUGE group of authors, Authors United.  If you’re following the Amazon & Hatchette negotiations, you might have heard about author Douglas Preston circulating a letter around trying to garner a few brave authors to sign it.  Turns out he got over 900 authors including names like Stephen King, David Baldacci, Avi, Stuart Woods, and Lemony Snicket, among many more famous names you’ll recognize.  You can check out a great summary article about it at Publisher’s Weekly.  The letter will be posted in a full page ad today (Sunday) in the New York Times.   The full letter can be found on Authors United site.

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of “happily ever after” books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It’s for her family’s sake. When not reading, she’s homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. I think Liars, Inc (love that premise!) and The Distance Between Lost and Found both sound great. I don’t normally do ARC’s or review copies but those two are tempting… both sound like great stories.

I am always blown away by the support that comes from this group of artists. Third…A Wicked Thing looks great! I love fairy tale retellings. I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of it.

  3. ZOMG, Kristin! I don’t know if I can even talk you any more now that I now you got Vicious. *mutters* Freaking library workers . . . LOL. But seriously–SO LUCKY. I hope it’s fabulous. And I don’t know if it was this week or last week but I got Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard and A Wicked Thing by Rhiannon Thomas, and I think both of those look pretty fantastic 😉

OMG, you so don’t have to mention me in borrowing the link – I don’t swing that way 😉 I only care when the thought came from my tiny brain b/c that doesn’t happen often 🙂
