The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Freakin’ allergies…  that’s all I’ve got to say about that.

  • Braine at Talk Supe Book Blog is looking for reviewers!  If you feel like it’s time to make your voice heard OR even if you have a blog already, consider “guest posting”!  All the details are HERE or click the button on my sidebar.
  • I totally missed the boat on advertising this for them but Rabid Reads and The Book Nympho are going at it again…  It’s Stomp Vs. Romp!  Head on over HERE for all the fun posts, author/book features, and tons of giveaways!!!  Hurry, the stomping and romping ends on August 29th.

Honestly, I started the week thinking I wasn’t going to get ANY books this week!  SERIOUSLY!!!

I was so excited to see this in the mailbox on Friday!  I’ve been stalking Captive (The Blackcoat Rebellion #2) on Edelweiss (which Harlequin never posts books to) and NetGalley.  And then BOOM!  It’s in my mailbox!  Thank you sooooo much, Harlequin!!!

Kami Garcia/UnbreakableA cursed Bloodline

Thank you to Loveswept / Random House & Little, Brown Books for Young Readers.  I picked up Unbreakable because I have an ARC of Unmarked already sooo…  A Cursed Bloodline is just a no-brainer.

Princess of Thorns sins and needles

Thank you to Delacorte Press / Random House Children’s and Forever / Grand Central Publishing!  I’ve been wanting to read a book by Stacey Jay for a long time and I had this on my eagerly waiting list so when it popped up on NetGalley I was done for.  Sins & Needles I grabbed because I’ve had this on my TBR list for a year now.  I saw that Forever picked it up and is printing a mass market paperback and I had access to the ARC so…. yeah, I was just plain greedy.  But it’s NetGalley so I HAVE to read and write a review.  I get lazy if it’s in Edelweiss (shhhhhhhh!).

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. I am soooooo jealous of your Princess of Thorns 🙂 I have been wanting to read a book of hers too. I have the romeo and juliet books but haven’t read them yet.

My Allergies have been driving me crazy on top of my stupid sinus issues. I wake up and my face is all swollen. I can’t wait for the summer to be over (sadly) the winter is better for my nose Lol

    Have a great week Kristin!!!

  2. Books in the mail=win. Captive has a nice cover, like that one. Hope you feel better, I know in a month or so we’ll probably all be sick over here- seems to happen every fall. 🙂

    Have a great week.

  3. Sorry to hear about your allergies! My husband has them right now too (and unfortunately our daughters inherited it from him) so I see everyone suffering. I hope you feel better soon. I love getting surprises in the mail (and email) so that is really exciting! I hope you enjoy all your new books – I’m jealous you have Princess of Throne!! Have a great week!!

  4. Allergies can be a real pain. I don’t have any but I have family and friends who have them and sometimes they can’t go to work because of them. I hope they go away soon for you. Great titles for review! I haven’t read Stacey Jay yet but I really, really want to. I have to order them online because our local bookstores don’t have them here in Manila. Thanks for sharing and have a great week! Thanks for dropping by my Sunday Post!
