Sunday Post #44: Back in the Habit

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

It would have been so easy to just not return to blogging.  But you know what?  I actually feel lighter, excited, and more energized to “do this thing” now that I’ve actually got a post started.

First week of school has been a challenge!  Not that challenging necessarily means a bad thing.  It’s just that I’m so freakishly impressed with my son’s new online school.  He’s going to be pushed to his limits and he’s going to learn, grow, and do some amazing things this year.  Now, if anyone out there has any “cures” for 8-year-old whining about hating school, I’m all ears!!!

I’ll catch back up on this next week 😉

 Saddles and sins

I told you I loved this series…  I’m on the blog tour for this book on Sept 15th!  I freakin’ love Bubba!

Adrian Lessons Maybe Someday

I kind of stumbled on Adrian Lessons, LOVED IT, and now I’m on the blog tour for Sept 20th 😉  Someone told me I had to read Maybe, Someday…  I love Colleen Hoover but I can’t believe that this book of her’s could beat Ugly Love.  I’ll let you know.

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. Gosh, the person who told you to read Maybe Someday has GREAT taste. I bet she’s hot too.

Oh yeah, I’m looking forward to reading some Bubba. Mmm-hmm.

Aw, glad you are enthusiastic about his school. If only you could infuse him with some of it. 🙂

Oh, I’m SURE she is but I bet her friend is hotter 😉 Maybe Someday was cheap on the Kindle, too!!! I almost got it at Target but it was cheaper for the ebook!!!

Well, I think Maybe Someday was only $2.99 for the Kindle but double check. I wholly recommend Hopeless and Losing Hope, too!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

I Love your little one 🙂 Mine is just full of drama, spit and vinegar about the whole affair… video games have gone bye-bye (tee, hee)

  2. Well done for getting your posts up! It’s hard when you get a slump but as you say you feel better afterwards. good luck with the online school, I have not heard of that. Is it like homeschooling?

It is totally exactly like homeschooling! It’s just that the homeschool program we switched to calls themselves an online school, not a homeschool. He does lessons with the teacher everyday via Adobe Connect. He talks to her on the phone every other week. He also gets his special education taken care of, too. It’s just all at home 🙂 Just more work for mommy 🙁

Yeah, blogging is harder than just picking up a book and getting lost in it for hours, huh????? I just love to talk books too much to give it up!

  3. Maybe Someday is actually probably my least favorite by Colleen Hoover. I mean I wanted to love it so much, but there’s just one aspect of it that I can’t get behind. All of her other books I’ve fallen in love with. I hope you enjoy it though!

It’s so funny you say that b/c my friend said it was her favorite! I’ve loved Hopeless, Losing Hope, and Ugly Love so much that I’m so curious which way this one will go! Now you’ve got me soooooooo entirely wondering what that aspect is. If I figure it out, I’ll let you know!

Oh, he’s at THAT age! Hahahahaha!!! And I think at his grade, aren’t they the ones they really torture by starting them the earliest?!?!?! hahahahaha!! Earlier to school, earlier home I say!

  4. Sometimes a break does you good, I know sometimes when I don’t post for a while I have to make myself, but then it nice to get it out there.

Good luck with the online school, sounds like it’s starting great. My kids were actually happy to start school, which surprised me- but I know it won’t last. 🙂
