The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

I thank God everyday for my blog friends.  They help me out when I have questions.  I love to help them out when they need advice.  Our community rocks.  Just feeling the love because I needed help this weekend and my friends answered.  Thank you!

Other than dropping over $300 at the vet on regular check-up stuff for my precious Lakota, I had a good week.  We honestly expected the vet bill so it’s really no biggie.  It happens every year and he’s worth it.  He’s always there for me to make me happy when I’m feeling down.

Around the Blogosphere

  • Melissa at Melissa’s Eclectic Bookshelf posted a great discussion post this week about “The Right Way to Write Reviews?”.  It was nice to hear her struggle with judging her own reviews “good enough’ against other reviews.  I’m constantly in the same mindset and have to repeatedly remind myself this is my hobby.  I like to talk books so I talk through my reviews.  That’s just the way it’s going to be 🙂  Melissa’s post is really worth the read.

Thank God for postcards from the vet in the mail giving us time to save up!!! Sheesh! Pets are definitely like kids 🙂

I’ve always wanted to read Jenna Black but she’s been knee deep in a series lately. Would you believe this isn’t coming out until 2016 and it’s on Edelweiss already!?!?!?

Yeah, I’m quickly playing catch up so with the Griffith books so I can get the review for the last book in the trilogy up around when the book comes out in a few weeks. Thank goodness I’m a quick reader and not distracted by blogging or anything… ha!!

  1. I am always amazed at how pricey those vet bills are. We have two pet rats and just a small visit already costs a lot of euro’s, although not as much as for bigger pets. The vet does great work though, so it’s worth it. Lakota looks so adorable!

Nice haul you got this week! That cover Nightstruck looks awesome and a bit creepy as well. I hope you’ll have a great week!

You’ve got to imagine the schooling a vet goes through to know how to treat all those different animals! A human doctor has just one body structure to deal with – easy! I would think a small rat is harder to work with than a larger dog, by far!!! Imagine a mouse!!! Yikes!!! I think rats are awesome – they won’t turn on ya like a ferret, I’m sure (my friend had a ferret who bit everyone it encountered).

  2. Every time I have to go to the vet, I shiver and wonder how it’s going to cost me. But well, as expensive as it may be, my cats are totally worth it, I’d hate to see them suffer so I’m glad Lakota is OK 🙂

I’ve been wanting to read Black forever so I was ecstatic to see a new series from her! I jumped on that!! Thanks about my blog!! Yeah, it’s been a pain my butt I’m finally posting again 😉

  3. I am seriously in love with all those covers on your new books!

Your puppy is so cute! Pets are totally worth the price, they really are the best ever.

Have a great week Kristin, Enjoy all your new beautiful reads 🙂

Yeah, I kind of picked that one up because it was Jenna Black and the cover rocked!! I was surprised to find it b/c it doesn’t come out until 2016!
