The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Happy Sunday, Everyone!

5050 tree
Our 50/50 tree in our front yard

I’m in southeast Michigan and the leaves are just now starting to put on their show.  I think they’re running a little late this year.  What do you think?  Or are you just thawing out from winter woes?

Make sure you stop back to my blog on the 15th (or late on the 14th because you know we all post early!) to enter my giveaway.  Would you believe there are over 200 blogs participating?  I’m #43 or around abouts there 🙂

UGH!  I stalled out this week because I was busy filling in posts for October!  I endeavor to nail more posts in November next week when I’m not in catch up mode 🙂  It’ll help to have more books to review…

That’s all folks!  Have a great week!

  1. Wow, that tree is definitely halfway there! LOL. We’ve just started turning over on this side, last week I was complaining we didn’t have any color and now we do. WE’re sort of in that perfect time where it’s nice and not too cold I’d keep it this way for a while if I could…

If you haven’t started Darynda Jones’ Charley Davidson series yet, I really think you should b/c I think YOU’D like it! If you go to her Darynda’s website, you can hunt down free previews of her writing 😉

There’s nothing out there catching my eye! And I’m not on anyone’s radar for physical copies. I only got them when I was working at the library (*super sad face*) I miss working at the library…

Um… I can just hear your cheers, “Get it done, Bitch! That’s it…” I’m not sure I want to know why you have a cheerleader outfit… I can only imagine… Actually, YOU GO GIRL!!!!! *high five*

I think our tree is actually a Maple tree/weed. It’s really 2 trees that the builder just left from when he razed the field to build our neighborhood. I have 3 Maple-weeds in the backyard, too 😉

I’m sure you’re so far ahead of me in Fall! And yes, I’ve been stocking up on Halloween candy but it seems to keep disappearing…

The Spooktacular Hop is the largest hop for I Am a Reader but unfortunately, it brings out a few trolls you have to weed through 🙁 This will be my fourth year so I couldn’t just not do it 🙂

  2. A bunch of trees have already gone completely yellow here. It does look like that tree does not want to turn yet, but it does make for a pretty photo.

I completely forgot about blogging ahead.

    Happy reading!

  3. Hooray for autumn! Between the changing leaves, cooler temps, football and pumpkin things, it’s definitely my favorite time of year. I’ve spent the last week in Los Angeles, so I’m looking forward to seeing how the autumn colors are progressing here this week.

    Have a great week!

Awwww, I’m jealous you’ve been in LA but yeah, when I lived in Cali, I missed Autumn the most! Although you could always drive up to the mountains 😀

I always miss the best leaf colors on the trees! I say I’m going out to get pictures, forget, and then I finally go out and the leaves are all these dull colors. I finally got motivated this year 🙂

  4. Holy Crap! You just reminded I forgot to add the Spooktacular hop to my post 🙂 I had to go back and fix it!
I love that Hop, I never win anything but it’s fun to stop by the 200+ entries it takes me forever to do them and I never can get to them all.

Love the tree! My favorite time of year is when the leaves change and it’s so chilly out. Now I can’t wait for it to get dark early (I am weird I know) it just has such a cozy feel to it when it’s chilly and dark at 5 🙂

Have a great week, Kristin! Happy Reading!!! ox

  5. That tree is cool, is it supposed to be like that? Is it a hybrid? My uncle has a tree that he grafted together and it changes colors weeks apart.
I’m doing Blog Ahead also and was feeling defeated getting October taken care of, but now I’m off and running. I still have some October, but that can wait until closer to posting time. I’ve gotten 7 meme posts done so far, and a bunch scheduled as drafts.

I have some of “those” reviews, too but I think my pictures are safe. I worried about my review Sat but the cover is pretty clean 🙂 Some blogs get REALLY raunchy and that’s what they worry about, I’m sure. We’ll see when Kathy checks on Tuesday…

  6. I love that picture of the tree. I’m in California and because of the drought everything looks dry and dead. So leaves are falling but not sure if it’s because of Fall or lack of water lol. I’ve been wanting to start on Darynda’s series but I’ve been too busy. Hopefully I can start soon. Hope you have a great week!
