Sunday Post #69: I Am Stuffed (burp)

The Sunday Post

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

I don’t think I’ve eaten so much food in my life!  I am ready to hibernate, that is for sure!  I don’t get home to Cleveland often but when I do, I must get a romanburger at Mr. Hero’s, a dozen glazed at Krispy Kreme, and bagels from Einstein Bagels.  We have none of these where I am an hour north of Detroit.  So if you add in all the food we ate for Thanksgiving…  ugh, I am done for the next week (burp).

I freakin’ cracked a crown while eating Better Than Sex cake.  I think it was an omen or something…  hey, at least y’all know where I’ll be during the day on Monday (I hate the dentist).

This year I did NOT do midnight shopping on Black Friday.  This is something I normally do but instead I waited and went during the day on Friday in my hometown mall.  It actually wasn’t bad getting around inside the mall itself.  Lines to pay inside the stores were ridiculous so I saved money in the end.  And then driving out of the parking lot took a half hour of light road rage.  But overall, not bad 🙂

I saw “Spectre” at the theatre, too.  Rachel Weisz is a very lucky woman.  Yummy.

Buckeyes WON!!!

Phew!  After last weekend’s loss that I will not speak of, my alma mater decidedly beat their rival from that state up north where, uh, I happen to live (burp).

I went to TOWN on the Kindle deals this weekend.  Make sure if you buy these you check the price to see if the deal is still there.

This one is $2.99
$1.99 NOW!
This went back up in price – $3.99 (burp)

Have a great first week of December… Christmas is only around the corner!!!

  1. it looks like you had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend. Awesome that you mentioned Einsteins (since I happen to be a baker at the one where I live hehe ). You are brave to go out shopping on Black Friday. I don’t even go to the grocery story. A few years back, I had a friend drag me to the mall at midnight on Black Friday, and I will never do that again….a nightmare. So kudos to you!! 🙂 But I did go on Saturday, and got some good deals in the mall and at B&N. So I am a happy camper. Excited for Christmas though, So fun.

  2. Ah, I went shopping on Black Friday as well! It wasn’t as bad as I thought until later in the day. Although, I actually didn’t find much that I wanted to buy. Which was kind of disappointing haha

& That’s awesome you’re from Ohio! My dad is from there as well so he loves the Browns and Buckeyes. He actually went to Ohio State and sings their fight song whenever they play. He’s pretty upset with the Browns right now, though. haha

  3. I can relate to the food coma… ugh! But so worth it. 🙂 I went into hibernation mode on Black Friday – the crowds, the lines, the traffic… no thanks. Hope you got some great deals, though! I just recently downloaded 18 by J.A. Huss. I’ve yet to read anything by her so this one might be my first.

  5. Krispy Kreme rules! I love that place… the chocolate glazed are awesome. And Mr. Hero’s- man that sounds familiar. I was in Cleveland years ago and ate at a sub place (I think) called Hero’s or Mr. Hero’s or something- wondrer if it’s the same?

I inhaled food too, Thanksgiving was awesome. LOL. Although I ate less than last year since I didn’t break the bank on appetizers like last year. More stuffing LOL.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. I had so many inappropriate thoughts while reading your comment about breaking your crown while eating the Sex cake. 😛 😉

Krispy Kreme, noms noms. It sounds like you had a good holiday weekend. Have a great week!

  7. Oh yum, all that food sounds so good! Although that’s no fun you have to go to the dentist. I also hate the dentist. We don’t have thanksgiving here, although more and mroe stores seem to pick up on the black friday deals idea, I haven’t bought anything though. I can’t imagine how crazy the malls there must be during black friday. Nice hual you got this week. Nuts isn’t discounted here sadly, it sounds like a good book. I heard good things about most of these books. I hope you’ll enjoy them all and have a great week!

  8. I didn’t realize you were from Cleveland – how cool. I live right outside Cincinnati. 🙂 My mom was excited Ohio State won too. I went to Target to grab some deals on c.d.’s and a dvd but that’s it. My sister and I went Thursday night around 9ish and it wasn’t that bad, so I was excited about that! I have been grabbing some online deals though. 🙂

  9. I’m wondering what a ‘Better than Sex’ cake is made of? Should I ask? Sorry to hear about the dentist cos I hate going as well.

    Hope it’s not too painful!

  10. Sounds like you had a fun week. Lots and lots of good food. I am happy to say that we stayed on the light side as far as food goes since we were here alone, nice and quiet. No shopping for us. We tucked in, stayed warm and watched football.

  11. Ah, another person with that Nuts book, which makes me giggle every time I think of the title and see the cover. 🙂 Sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving, I didn’t eat as much this year as I have in the past. Probably because of the weather keeping me from staying too long at my dad’s house where I probably would have kept grazing. You can check out my Sunday Post in the link below!
