Top 10 of 2015: The Best Book Covers of 2015… That I’ve Read & Wanted to Read

Rachel of FiktshunJaime of Two Chicks on BooksMindy of Magical Urban Fantasy Reads, and Nancy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader are all hosting this year’s top ten lists of 2015.

It’s been 2 years since I’ve done this list but I always love looking back at my year in reading.  I’m just glad to be around this year to be able to do it 😉

Best Book Covers of 2015…  that I’ve read and wanted to read

So I split my list of Top Ten Book Covers of 2015 between books I actually read and books I had every intention of reading but I never got around to reading.  I actually own all but one of these books that I intended to read, so I really, really, REALLY meant to read these all!

In no particular order…

MechanicaMechanica by Betsy Cornwell

You really have to blow up this cover real big to see absolutely everything this cover includes.  It really is an amazingly beautiful and detailed cover.  With only one major element lacking from the cover (a certain character that I was assured by the author would be seen in future covers), this cover fits the story perfectly otherwise.

The Weight of FeathersThe Weight of Feathers by Anna-Marie McLemore

Another book whose cover is extremely, if not more so than the title, fitting to the story.  It’s on my list solely for that fact.  Well, I do love the feathers, too…

TheMistakeThe Mistake by Elle Kennedy

This cover, in it’s simplicity, says, “I screwed up.”  And boy does it say it well…

The Game PlanThe Game Plan by Kristen Callihan

You know you confuse Elle’s series with this one.  It’s hard not to.  But they are both so good.  But I have to say this cover model IS Dex.  And Dex called to me as I flipped through Amazon.  He called very loudly.  I have a thing for guys with beards (see below).  Hugely interesting thing is that the model in the picture does NOT have a beard.  No joke!

Finding Master RightFinding Master Right by Sparrow Beckett

I love the color, I love the pose, I love that the guy in the picture is a great representation of what Banner looks like.  Banner is a business man…  with tats.  Mmmmmm….

And the books I wanted to read this year…

DreamstriderDream Strider by Lindsay Smith

Amazingly original…

Ten Thousand Skies Above YouTen Thousand Skies Above You by Claudia Gray

This is the one book I don’t own.  I adore this series and really need to go buy this book!  The colors on this cover are unusual but they absolutely work.  Close to the colors above?  Maybe….

Their Fractured LightTheir Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman & Megan Spooner

All the covers in the Starbound series are phenomenal.  Enough said.

The InfiniteThe Infinite by Lori M. Lee

This book almost snuck by me.  I picked it up at Thanksgiving as a Kindle deal (woot!).  Check out her ride… amazing!

The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry

I stopped because of the cover.  I borrowed it on Amazon because of the reviews.  What is my deal with beards???

I’m sure I’ve missed a ton of great covers this year but I think it’s safe to say that hot men and YA fantasies are my favorites 😉

Check in with me tomorrow when I’ll be counting my Top Ten Bad Boys.

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  2. I love the way you did your cover picks. It really makes them stand out. And THE WEIGHT OF FEATHERS is an amazing cover. I hadn’t seen that one before. I’m totally going to buy that book based on its cover.

And the men covers. Mmmmm. 🙂 And THEIR FRACTURED LIGHT is so pretty. I love those colors. Awesome picks!
