When a psychic tells Natalie Nixon her life is about to be upended by a mysterious stranger, she laughs it off. After all, she has everything she’s ever wanted—a successful bakery, a the perfect boyfriend, and the keys to her dream house.

Who could possibly make her want to throw all that away?

Then Miles Haas comes back to town.

But he’s no stranger—they’ve known each other since high school. Plus, he’s only around for the summer, he’s still a shameless playboy, and he makes a living writing articles for a men’s magazine with titles like 'Should You Bang the Boss’s Daughter? A Flowchart' and 'Butt Stuff for Beginners: A Field Guide.'

He’s not the man of her dreams, and she’s not about to abandon everything she’s worked so hard for just for a little fun. Except he makes her laugh like no one else, smells like heaven, and looks sexy as hell in those panty-melting glasses.

Bad Boy Cover Love Sexy Swoon

Here is another case of me buying a book solely based on the cover.  Cute guy hiding in his shirt?  Yep, I’m sold.  Sue me, I’m easy…

Lucky for me the huge investment of a whopping $2.99 paid off…

Though for Natalie, a trip to a psychic doesn’t pay off too well during a sister’s-night-out.  Organized, focused-to-a-fault Natalie CAN NOT have any predicted mysterious strangers coming into her life and upending things.  She just bought her own home, owns her own business, and is working towards marriage with her first love from high school.  Even if he’s a “douchebag” according to Natalie’s old friend, Miles.

Miles spent his summers in the house next door to Natalie’s growing up.  They were best friends every summer and then one day, he “noticed” her.  By then it was too late and Natalie had Douchbag for a boyfriend.  Natalie and Miles have kept in touch ever since.

Now here’s the fun part: this story will NOT be what you expect, but it will be so much fun getting there!

  • There is no love triangle.
  • Natalie does not want to give up her dream of getting married and having 2.5 kids with Douchebag.
  • Miles does NOT want a relationship.

So how the heck is there a HEA???  Ha!  As if I’d tell you…

But it happens.  And on the way, I fell madly in love with Miles.  Who wouldn’t?  The man non-stop flirts and has a wicked sense of humor.  He’s totally my type of book boyfriend.

Honestly, I loved all the characters.  I really enjoyed the sister’s night out at the beginning of the book, though.  Being the first book from the series that I read, it was a fantastic way to meet Natalie and her sisters Skylar (from the first book) and Jillian (who gets her HEA in the next book).

I’m completely impartial on the setting of the story because it’s set in Michigan (yay!) and I adored reading about a cool neighborhood in downtown Detroit.  Completely impartial…

I really should go backwards and read the first story but I think I’ll just sit and wait for the next book, Some Sort of Love, coming out February 2016.  Jillian needs some love…
