I hope you’ve had a wonderful holidays.  I know I have.

As if you couldn’t tell, I cannot stop myself from making changes to my blog’s color theme.  I have no clue how long this change will stick around but I’m clearly not done.  When I was looking at color themes, I knew I wanted something that felt warm, like California beaches at sunset warm.  Although technically, beaches in California are NOT warm at sunset.  But the colors sure are.

I thought the colors would be nice to stare at during the cold days of winter.

I plan on posting my goals for the upcoming year in a separate post this week so I won’t bore you with it here.  But I plan to be busy, busy, busy and I am looking forward to it!

Have a wonderful week!

  1. I never know what to do with my blog. It’s kind of frustrating. Dude, if you haven’t already, grab The Play by Karina Halle while it’s $0.99, because you have to read that book before Winter Wishes. Happy New Year, Kristin.

  2. Happy New Year! I do like the new background. California beaches sound pretty good since we know weather wise the next two months or so will suck here! LOL.

    Have a good week. 🙂

  3. Happy New Year, Kristin! The warm background really works, it feels like I’m looking at the sun reflecting off the sea.
I have Fighting Dirty too, and I really can’t wait to read it… Armie’s story must really be something else 🙂

    • *fist pump* Damn straight it’s our blog and we have to stare at it all day so it better be pretty to us! Plus, I don’t know about you, but it’s a hobby for me so… yeah.. time to play dress up!!! 🙂

  6. The new colors are so pretty! Nice haul this week, too. Wicked and Winter Wishes were both so very good! I have Dare to Run and Outside the Lines to read, too. Soon hopefully. I actually read part of a VERY early draft of Dare to Run and I was really into it. I can’t wait to see which direction Jen took the story!

Happy reading! Have a great week!

    • I LOVE Jen’s writing and I keep meaning to read more of it and support her more!!! I met her (sooo briefly) at RAGT and she is so freakin’ nice!!! Gotta support “local” authors – I’m originally from the Cleveland area so yeah, PA is close 😉 Thanks for the heads up! I can’t wait to get to her book!!!

    • Scorched is suuuuuch an old YA book that I had wanted forever and it was cheap so I picked it up but honestly, I saw some of the reviews and it’s mixed. But there’s dragons so you know….

  7. Happy new year! I like your new blog colour scheme, it’s very warm and happy. I don’t like switchign my colour scheme, but I will tweak some small things now and then. Scorched sounds good, it’s on my to-read list as well. I hope you’ll have a great week!

  10. Happy New Year!! I love your blogs colors. It’s bright and cheery, which is perfect to get away from the winter blues. I have purchased Karina Hale’s books but I still haven’t read them (I just grab them while they are on sale lol). I hope you enjoy all your new books and have a great week!

  11. I really have loved your background. But I will say it reminds me more of hawaii’s beaches since every time I have gone to california its been rainy and cold so the warm colors never fit for me hehe but hawaii’s beach’s are warm, even the water is warm 🙂 Great books you have here, I am super excited to read Fighting Dirty. Should be a good read. Hope you enjoy it.
