I am slightly….  okay completely addicted to Kid Snippets / Bored Shorts videos.  My son’s favorite is Cooking Show – Pie… “…strawberry babies.”  This is one of my faves 😀

I’m trying very hard to be picky about the books I’m taking for review right now.  I have a lot of review books scheduled out pretty far.

The Queen of Blood is the first in a trilogy and what appealed to me is that it’s being marketed to both adults and young adults, much the same as Uprooted and Half a King was.  How to Keep Rolling After a Fall deals with cyberbullying and I literally just had a lesson with my son on that exact subject in his homeschooling.  Hence, my intrigue.  Hell Breaks Loose is book two in Ms. Jordan’s series and I’m wondering how Reid will escape jail time after his escape.

I finally heard a song I liked on the radio!  It took a fuzzy connection to our Detroit/Windsor alternative station for me to hear it but thanks to Shazam, I nabbed it 🙂  Love the guitar!  And HOLY CRAP, you can pan the video around using the button in the top left corner.  Sweeeeet.

Yep, I’m still a book blog…

  1. Look at that snow! It’s doing the same thing over here- or it did, then the sun came out, It was like a blizzard for a while! Crazy…

Queen of Blood is new to me, like that cover. A cover will do it every time. Enjoy the snow ha ha! 🙂

  2. I’m glad we don’t have any snow, but we have everything blooming at the same time, so my allergies are really killing me!
Your new books look great! I am also very careful with not adding too many ARCs these days. I have so many books to read, and a lot of backlist books and series I want to read 🙂
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading!

  3. We were suppose to get a dusting but I woke up to nothing so they lied, however, I am sorry about your snow. I am pretty much done with this weird weather I think we need to move on now and just be normal.

Loved the snippet, that was just so cute! The voices are so cute.

I hope you have a great week, Kristin! Happy Reading!

  4. Ugh. I hate snow. I’m in Indiana, We’ve had 50 and 60 degree weather for a past couple of weeks. Even a few 70 days. But all of a sudden it started snowing yesterday. WTH? Ugh. Nothing stuck and it’s back to the low 50s today. Stupid snow. Had a wonderful week!
