Sunday Post #92: Garage Sale Part Dos

Posted June 26, 2016 in Meme / 13 Comments

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

I am a glutton for punishment.  I decided to join our neighborhood’s garage sale.  My hubs went through the basement and dug out all sorts of junk.  I sat outside on two gloriously, beautiful mornings and made $182 on stuff we weren’t using.  I’m okay with it.  I parted with some prime merchandise but I’ll get over it.  My hubs is all about, “if it’s not being used, toss it.”  Grrrrrr…

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. One of the neighbors over here has a garage sale every 5 minutes in the summer- literally she has them all the time. At least you made some dolares. I have a habit of liking to pitch stuff sometimes too ha ha. But then other junk I’ll hold on too… weird. 🙂

    Have a good week!

  2. Your husband sounds like me, If I don’t need it, toss it! BUT I HATE with a passion Garage sales. That is like hell on earth. Everyone wants something for nothing and I totally understand since we really don’t want it anymore but OMG sometimes they can be so frustrating. Like $1 isn’t good enough you want it for .25¢? Really! Makes me crazy and I get so grumpy at the end of the day. lol

I hope you have an amazing week, Kristin! Happy Reading!

  3. I used to love having yard sales when I was younger. My grandma always humored me & let me have them at her house. Now I just donate everything. I can’t even tell you all the clothes my son had that he wore maybe once or twice. It was ridiculous. I’m sentimental and save certain things, but mostly think along the same lines as your hubby. 😀
