The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.
For us in the States, it’s Fourth of July weekend and Friday was Canada Day. Living in a summer touristy border town, we see tons of traffic on weekends like this. Forget about trying to shop at a grocery store!
This weekend we are home and enjoying a nice quiet, slow weekend. The weather is perfect and the neighborhood is relatively quiet. Heaven!
This week has been crazy, too! We had a computer “go to sleep” and never wake up so we ran out and bought a new computer. Before that, my oven decided to stop heating. That was a $160 repair for a new igniter. But to balance all the nuisance stuff, I had some fantastic “business” news pop up and I’m enjoying a new project I’m working on.
What are YOU doing this weekend?
June Reading Re-Cap
Last month I read 8 books. Not too shabby, considering Goodreads tells me I’m behind on my yearly reading challenge by 14 books. BUT, I did increase my book count this year from 100 books to 150 books so in actuality, I’m right on schedule compared to last year. Make sense? Yeah, it’s a bit sketchy….
I finally got THE book I’ve been eagerly waiting for. Yep, already read it, too! Thank you to Scholastic!
Does anybody here listen to music… a lot? If so, may I recommend GooglePlay to play your music on your phone? I’ve been using it a lot lately and everytime I do, I marvel at how awesome it is!
Like yesterday, I heard a Pearl Jam song on the radio but it wasn’t coming in well. So I pulled up my GooglePlay app, searched Pearl Jam, and played the song (and some others). You can also make playlists from all the songs in their system. Once you’ve added a song to your library, it’s downloaded to your phone so you don’t have to listen to music through the cloud (using up precious data minutes). My hub’s subscription is $9.99/month, family is $12.99, last time I checked.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
