The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

So last weekend I drove, drove, and drove some more.  It was awesome to see the family but it’s just so hard on my poor old body.  I swear I’m still recovering.  It could be the crap food I ate on the drive, too.  I found the only Krispy Kreme Donuts in Detroit had finally opened after closing for renovations/fire.

Shotgun!!!
SHOTGUN!!!

I’ve also been gardening a tiny bit.  I usually do a full on garden but last few years I haven’t had the time so we’ve filled in our gardens.  I now have whiskey barrels (hiccup) to grow two things, cucumbers and tomatoes.  My cucumbers (3 plants) in one of my barrels has decided that it likes the view from my deck best.

Since I’m behind a week on my Sunday Posts, I may be forgetting a book or three.  Sadly, I can’t keep track of my eBooks sometimes 🙁

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of “happily ever after” books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It’s for her family’s sake. When not reading, she’s homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

    • Allen Park between 94 and 75, if you’re ever through Detroit!!!! Ugh, now I need to drive 45 mins… I think I hear the “Hot Light” on!

  2. Cucumber plants love to take over EVERYTHING! They can’t seem to just stay in one place. Tomato plants can do that too. Why can’t they just leave everything else alone!!! I wish I was able to do my garden this year just ran out of time and our hose broke, the landlord is lazy. (he’s my dad) So we know that wont be fixed until maybe next year. 🙂

Gosh, look at all those books. I have been avoiding as much as I can. It’s really hard but I have so many to get to I think until the end of the year I need to focus on my already filled Kindle. I might need two years to clean that out. lol

Have a great week, Kristin! Happy Reading! ox

  3. DONUTS! I’m such a sucker for anything sweet. Just today I gorged on an Oreo muffin and a cheesecake … So bad! And now I’m craving a donut thanks to you!
I didn’t know Meg Cabot had a new book coming out soon! I’ve loved so many of her books though I haven’t read The Boy series. I need to change that ASAP.
I hope you love all your books!

    • The Boy series is.. kind of… weird. It’s all in texts, FB posts, emails. It’s taking me a bit to get used to reading it. Probably not the best first Cabot book to start with, huh 😀

    • Onions!?!?!?! Curse you and your bad breath!!! Holy heartburn, too!!! Meh, I just slice and soak in Italian dressing. So, so lazy 🙂

  4. Hi Kristen. Now I want donuts! Not cool. 🙂 I really want to read Idol. And now I have to go check out more of the books in your haul!

    • Bwahahahaha… my evil sugar plan is in effect!!! KK is the worst b/c there’s never one around when you need one, though. Don’t even try and substitute!!!

  5. I’m terrible at keeping track of what arc’s and earc’s I get…oops. And omg, I have been wanting Krispy Kreme donuts so bad but it’s so far from me.

  6. Just driving can be draining. I never understood my mother’s complaints about it growing up, but after having to do long drives I now understand. I hope you are getting over the recovery hump and enjoying that garden!
