Top Ten Books I Like That No One Else Likes (wink)

toptentuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is long standing meme started back in June of 2010 at The Broke and Bookish. ย I have mad respect for the meme and it’s creator.

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday list are the books that I enjoyed but have less than 2,000 ratings in Goodreads. ย Kind of a literal underrated books list ๐Ÿ˜‰

I went through and sorted my “Read” books by number of ratings and then I started at 2000 and worked my way down the list, looking at the books with the highest ratings. ย I originally had a list where I had started with the very least amount ratings but that just yielded me a bunch of completely unknown, irrelevant books that no one would be interested in. ย So I compromised my list a bit. ย No one is interested in some of the crap I read. ย But I was surprised by the lack of reviews on some of my favorite books! ย I DID try and avoid newer releases (duh!)

Unhooked by Lisa Maxwell – 1,876 ratings

The Weight of Feathers by Anna-Marie McLemore – 1,735 ratings

When Joss Met Matt by Ellie Cahill – 1,590 ratings

Alien Proliferation (Katherine “Kitty” Katt #4) by Gini Koch – 1,493 ratings

Lark Rising (Guardians of Tarnec #1) by Sandra Waugh – 1,402 ratings

Leaving Amarillo (Neon Dreams #1) by Caisey Quinn – 1,364 ratings

As Long As You Love Me (2B Trilogy #2) by Ann Aguirre – 1,290 ratings

City of Light (Outcast #1) by Keri Arthur – 814 ratings

Titans by Victoria Scott – 306 ratings

Saddles and Sin (Lonesome Point, Texas #2) by Jessie Evans – 391 ratings

Have you ever looked at the amount of reviews on some of your favorite books? ย It’s kind of enlightening!!

    • Yeah… my hubs laughs at the books I read, too. Why do you think I read on my iPad all the time??? I would never hear the end of it if I didn’t!!!

    • I was so sad to see the little love for Weight of Feathers ๐Ÿ™ Unhooked, too!! Maybe they got lost and not read in the glut of review books that came out at the same time?

Lark Rising’s second book pissed me off royally so make sure you’re ready if you start that series. Silly books ๐Ÿ˜›

    • OMG – he totally looks like Spock (I prefer him as Spock than the guy from Heroes)!!!! Especially when he fights Sherlock in the air on that spaceship in the second Star Trek reboot. *swoon* OOPS! The geek slipped out!

  1. Wow I have only heard of 1 of these books (Leaving Amarillo). But you totally got me thinking that I need to check the number of reviews on some of the books on my goodreads lists!
And that totally does look like Spock on the cover of Alien Proliferation. Which is kind of fitting, you know, because its an alien book ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. No, I’ve never really thought to look at the number of reviews a book has on Goodreads, but I should start! I’ve only read Unhooked on here, but I did really enjoy it. ๐Ÿ™‚

p.s. I believe I rated What Remains by Garrett Leigh as four stars on goodreads – I don’t always do ratings, so I don’t always share them on my blog. But no cliffhanger and you get a HEA! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Aha!!! Thank you for telling me! I have to go check and make sure I KNOW you on GR. What Remains really sounds sweet, esp. the “family” aspect ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. I LOVED Titans!!!! I also really loved When Joss Met Matt. This was such a fun topic for me. I always love seeing books that people are enjoying, yet aren’t getting the recognition they deserve. I’ll have to check out your other picks for sure! ๐Ÿ™‚
