Sunday Post #100: Woot, That’s Like, A Milestone Or Something

Posted September 11, 2016 in Meme / 21 Comments

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Howdy folks!  I will be on out of town this week so I don’t think (I’m pretty sure) I will have any posts.  There is a huge GLUT of books coming out on September 20th so this may prove to be a problem.  But I’ll just deal with it when I get back.  Ha!

Another week, another data breach.  This time, Dropbox had hackers get into their databases.  There’s a site where you can find out if you’ve had your information “compromised” called “Have I been pwned?” .  I entered my email address and only one site’s data breach showed up, as if that’s a good thing.  Since the breach I had changed that site’s password so I’m pretty sure I’m okay there.

I recommend reading HIBP’s FAQ page before entering your information.  You never want to willy-nilly enter your information into sites…

Not to skip entirely over Halloween but it’s time to make preparations for the holiday read-a-thons!!!

Best blogger EVER, Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer is hosting her HoHoHo Read-a-Thon from November 9th through the 15th.  This is her 4th year hosting!

Check out all the details HERE and sign up 🙂

Yep, I’m another person who had to buy Ms. Smeltzer’s books after Genesis’ review of When Stars Collide.  I bought Pirate because of Melanie’s review.  I keep meaning to read Ms. Langlais and this one just looked to fun (and short) to pass up!

Mucho gracias to Simon & Schuster, Sourcebooks, Hachette, and HarperCollins!!

When you have the best blog friends in the world, they send you books you’re afraid to read… because they know what’s good for you.  Thank you, Christy.

To stay with my “The Amazing World of Gumball” theme…

I always find that the cartoons explain LOVE the best.

See y’all in a couple of weeks! ∗waves

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. Ooh, you got some good stuff this week and that Genesis got us all, huh? I can’t wait to start those books.

Have fun on your time away from the blog. Also? Thanks for the heads up on the data breach. Must check myself out!

  2. I don’t use Dropbox but I am glad you got it sorted out. I have heard a few times them getting hacked.
It’s hard not to think about Christmas 😉 This is honestly my favorite 3 holidays. I can’t wait for each but Christmas will always be my favorite and I did some pretty good damage on the Christmas reads getting this week in preparation for Hohoho 🙂 I love Gumball 🙂

I need to go look at those book you got. *Twinkle eyes* Those covers!!!

Have a great week, Kristin! Happy Reading! ox

  3. I checked my email and of course, the drop box issues was the only one. But, I’m pretty good about changing passwords and such. Sigh… anyone who hacks into my dropbox would be sadly disappointed anyway-my credit card isn’t linked, and all I have are memes I download from the internet and the back up of my millions of pictures of my dog. Jokes on you, hackers! I got nothing!
    Enjoy your books!!

  4. Thanks so much for that link. I did find my information might be out there. They are for accounts I don’t use much, but I’m going to change the passwords anyway. I had a Dropbox account under a different email address that I didn’t realize I had. I really hope you enjoy Pirate. It was really cute. I hope you’re having fun on your out of town trip.

  5. I was out of town last week Kristin so can relate to the stress of not posting when there are so many books out. I’m also behind in my reading so I really need to catch up!
