I wasn’t here last Sunday with a post because I was “sick” with a migraine that I accidentally gave myself by drinking glasses of milk several days in row.  Serves me right.  I posted a picture of the chocolate chip cookies I baked on Instagram.  And of course I have to eat them with a glass of milk.  Do that for 3 days in a row when you don’t normally drink milk and if your stomach doesn’t like milk, it will rebel.  And apparently milk can cause migraines.  Who knew?  Not me…  I went ONE stinking day this week without the migraine but every other day, I’ve HAD to take an Imitrex to not be in pain.  Trust me, I keep trying.  This sucks dirty dishwater!!  No more cookies on Instagram!  Only cake 😉

YAY!!  My hometown baseball team, the Cleveland Indians, are in the World Series!!  This is me from, ohhhhhh, about 11 years ago, relegated to the hatch area of my parent’s car on the way to a game.  I may now live outside of Detroit (and love their teams) but I still love the Cleveland Teams.  There’s something about loving the underdog, blue-collar, working man’s teams.  I hope the Cubbies make it, too 😉

    • I SAW that you loved Undecided (on Goodreads); you were one of the reasons why I paid the big $3.99 for it (hahaha)!!

Honestly, I think Karma gave me the migraine – NOTHING will stop me from eating cookies. I just drink water with them (UGH). 🙂

  1. Ah sorry to hear about the migraine. Hope you’re feeling better. And go Indians!!

Love that cover of Frost Blood with the blood dripping down. 🙂

    • Any cover with blood is AWESOME!!! And you’re in the best place for the upcoming World Series!!! You just turn your head side to side to side!!

  2. I’m sorry to hear about your migraines. That really really sucks. I had no idea milk could give you migraine … That’s definitely news to me. I’m thrilled that you got Undecided though I really hate that new cover. Daughter of Pirate King sounds good too! I need to read up on that one.
Hope you have a better week ahead! <3

    • I think Daughter of Pirate King is your type of book. That’s the one I’ve been waiting for the publisher to put out an ARC for 😉

  3. Sorry about the migraine! I hate having to take Imitrex because of the side effects. It always makes me feel like I am having a heart attack!
Seeing the Indians in the playoffs makes me want to go watch Major League. I love that movie!

  4. Yes… I know ALL about milk causing migraines – me and dairy products seriously don’t get on, but almond milk is a delicious alternative. Do be careful about how much rice milk you drink due to the arsenic levels. I LOVE the Harry Potter/Snape cartoon – so funny and sharp:). Daughter of the Pirate King looks great fun. Have a great week:)

  5. Wow, I didn’t realize that milk can do that. I get migraines when I don’t get coffee or caffeine for two days at least. I have bad withdrawals. And oh how I miss Snape! So happy when Freeform did a marathon, the commercials suck but it’s better than nothing.

I hope this week is better!

Sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with migraines! 🙁

Also, I live a couple miles away from Wrigley but I hadn’t really been following the games at all. But holy cow, I knew when the Cubs won last night. I could actually hear the noise from the stadium from my apartment, which quickly turned into people in the streets outside cheering and car horns honking.

Good luck to your team in the upcoming games! 🙂

  7. Love that comic! LOL!

I have chronic migraines so I can sympathize. You could try milk alternatives if you can handle them. Almond milk and soy milk are pretty good. I have to do rice milk which isn’t bad at all, but it is less milk-like the others.

Um… go Rockies? 😉 LOL Yea, we suck right now. LOL

  8. Yikes, sucks about the migraines and sucks even more that it was delicious cookies that brought it all about. I hope you’re feeling better this week!

Your book haul makes me so happy. I hope you love Undecided and Paper Princess as much as I did. You’re in for such a treat!

Happy reading and have a great week!
