Sunday Post #109: Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah

Posted December 18, 2016 in Meme / 15 Comments

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Are you done with your holiday shopping yet??

Oh, that dreaded question!!  I think I’m done.  I don’t want to jinx it but all I need to do is find some stocking stuffers for my husband.  Those are the hardest for me to do!  I usually just put lots of candy in them for the adults but I want to do something different this year, mix it up a bit.  Any ideas you can toss my way are appreciated!

All three of these titles books I’ve been eagerly anticipating in series I really like.  Thank you to Simon & Schuster and HarperCollins!!!

I will be celebrating Christmas next Sunday with my entire family here at my home.  So this is my last Sunday Post until next year.  Blessings to you and yours for the season!

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.

  1. Have a great Christmas! Hope it’s full of all good stuff. 🙂 And lots of awesome family time. And watch out for those snowmobiles lol. I do gift cards in stocking sometimes because I’m lazy *cough* I mean cause they can get whatever they want *cough*. Seriously though… what is up with The Reluctant Queen? I LOVE that cover, just like I did the one for Queen of Blood. I don’t know who’s drawing those but that is some sweet art.

    • I KNOW about those covers!! I forget what that animal is on the cover of The Reluctant Queen is but it’s pretty pivotal to the first book. Dang, re-read time!!

BTW – you MUST have crazy snowmobilers all over your town!!! Hey, and Red Wings won a game, too!!!

    • I’ve been WAITING to bake so all my cookies aren’t stale or gone by Christmas. It’s going to be a mess in the kitchen this week!!!

    • OMG…. you and I are so on and off with our reading this year!!! Honestly, I’ve DNF’d SOOOOO many books…. I had to like something you hated!! And Abbi’s series is definitely acquired taste, for sure. I think I’m the ONLY one who likes it 😉

  2. I have been eyeing that Abbi Glines series. I have the first book (snagged it when it went on sale) but I haven’t actually read it!!
Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy your books!

  3. An early merry Christmas to you, dear Kristin! I’ve just finished up all of my holiday shopping – most people on my list are receiving books I loved this year that reminded me of them, with the exception of my best friend, who’s getting a book + a gorgeous treble clef necklace from an independent designer she adores. As for stocking stuffers – consumables are always wonderful, and I also love giving small products such as lotion, lip balms, candles, etc. Things they perhaps would not buy for themselves, but are always appreciated regardless. Thank you so much for sharing with us, Kristen; have a beautiful holiday season. <3

  4. Merry Christmas! I hope you have a great time. I have a few gift guides on my blog – there might be some good stocking stuffer ideas. Otherwise, I’d look around dollar stores, Target dollar aisle, etc. for cheaper but still nice things!
