Top Ten of 2016 – Book Covers of 2016 I Loved

Posted December 27, 2016 in Event / 17 Comments

Welcome to the last week of 2016!  Around this time every year I enjoy looking back at my year in reading.  For the last 5 years, I’ve joined Rachel from Fiktsun and her various cohosts for their Top Ten event.  This year Rachel is joined by with the very awesome Jaime of Two Chicks on Books and Nancy & Christy of Tales of a Ravenous Reader, and Bridget of Dark Faerie Tales.

The criteria for this list was “MUST be a book released in 2016. Would be best if it’s a book you’ve READ in 2016, but it’s not required“.  Unfortunately, I only read four out of ten of these books BUT these books were all taken off of my TBR list so that has to count for something, right??  I have every intention of still reading these!

Let me just talk about a few covers for a moment.  Anne Bishop’s The Others series covers are all great but I’m sad to see the model change.  The covers for both The Girl From Everywhere and This Savage Song have images hidden so deeply that you really don’t appreciate the covers until you really stare at them for a while.  Mafi’s Furthermore made my list because every image on the cover directly relates to the story and I think that it is amazing that the artist could do that for her book.

Sorry I don’t have links today (BOOOO!).  If you saw my messed up post yesterday, you’ll know why I didn’t even bother.  I tried to link everything and ended up with missing link and wrong links when I was all done.  Booo!!!

What was your favorite cover from 2016?

About Kristin

Kristin has to ensure she gets her minimal requirement of "happily ever after" books in between those books that contain cliffhangers and never-ending story arcs. It's for her family's sake. When not reading, she's homeshooling her 10-year old son, watching cartoons on TV, or taking a nap.
