Sunday Post #113: Consistency And I Don’t Get Along

Posted February 5, 2017 in Meme / 19 Comments

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

I really want to work on consistency in my blogging.  It’s a new year, spring is coming, so I think I need to work more on the consistency of my posts, especially my Sunday Posts.  So bear with me as I change things up here and there.  I just love playing around until I get it correct.

Last week wasn’t as busy as the previous one.  It was a cold one, with temps steady in the 20’s all week.  But I ended Friday on high note by getting my hair cut and colored by professional.  I haven’t done that in quite some time, having done my own color in a box for the last couple of years.  I’m very grey and it just didn’t seem worth it to go into the salon every 4 weeks.  But I have an awesome style now and I couldn’t be happier.  I also loaded up on bakery sweets that I can’t get in my podunk town so I’m also riding a sugar high.  Weeeeeeeee 🙂

It may look bad, but these books were all (mostly all) on my TBR already.  I’ve just been waiting for the ARC to make it’s appearance.  Hip hip hooray!!!

I am very grateful to Hachette, Macmillan, Random House, Simon & Schuster, and HarperCollins.

Who DOESN’T love the Super Bowl commercials?!?!  I found a few early ones on EW’s site.  I can’t decide between these two for my faves so far.  I love goofy & happy…

Have a fantastic week!

  1. Weeeee sugar rush! Wait isn’t tha a game? Okay I’m busting a gut over here w/ that Eco commercial. When she hit the ship- priceless. Although her bouncing off the ice chunk wasn’t bad. 🙂 You know if the frickin commercials were always this fun I wouldn’t hate advertising.

    • “In Some Other Life” is on Edelweiss. It was a 50/50 week this week ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And ya know, we always turn down the volume on the game and then turn it back up when the commercials come back on… tee, hee…

    • I’m sure you’ll get those books! Remember, I only get a lot of books b/c of the library job. The best job ever!!!!!!!!

  2. Dang, girl! That’s a HUGE book haul! And I missed my December hair appointment due to a family emergency and then my hair stylist of 8 years couldn’t get me into reschedule or in last month. For eight years, I’ve gone to my stylist every four to five weeks. My last apt was in November. MY HAIR!! I got my first gray hair at 22, so Ugh. They are everywhere. OMG. Now I want to cry. Actually, I’ve been having contractions since Tuesday. I want this baby out. I’m extra emotional. Sorry, I took over this comment. BLARG.

  3. How about showing us a picture of your new ‘do? I haven’t done my color in a while, so I’m fairly gray now, but I do go to get mine cut quite often.
Your new books all look fantastic! I get very grabby hands, and have already been over to NetGalley to request the Kiersten White one 😉
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading!

  4. Sugar high! YAY! LOL

I put Roar and The Romance Reader’s Guide to Life on my GR TBR list. They looked good.

I love a good pampering and sometimes it’s good to have someone else do your hair and color. Glad you liked how it turned out. 🙂

Hope you have a great week! ~Aleen

  5. I’m reading Dare to Lie right now as well!! We have had some matching reads lately! I used to dye my hair at home, then caved and now I have a pro do it. I used to only need it done every 8 weeks, but now, the grey is coming through pretty quick so I might have to change my pattern!
    Have a great week!

  6. I haven’t seen Melissa McCarthey’s commercial but I’m excited to see it. Justin’s aired not too long ago. I mostly just want to see Lady Gaga, but my family is watching the game – they all love football.

I feel like I need to get better at blogging ahead, but I’m not that far in advance in terms of the books I’m reading, so it’s difficult.
