Sunday Post #122: The One Where She Dies of a Railroad Spike to Her Head

Posted September 3, 2017 in Meme / 18 Comments

The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.

Crap, I don’t feel good again.  Stupid migraine is currently kicking my ass.  It’s a doozy with chills, nauseousness, and a general “waaaahhh!”  It’s okay, I have drugs.  Sometimes they just don’t work very well.  And I hate when migraines get in the way of life…

Hence part of the reason why I only got one review out this week!  I’ve been REALLY meaning to start blogging again and participating in the community.  Damn, I miss it!!

On a slightly funny note, I am completely addicted to watching the US Open Tennis tournament, Phineas and Ferb re-runs I have saved on my DVR, and Ancient Aliens on “It-used-to-be-about-History” Channel.  Rafa is my boy, Phineas and Ferb cheer me up when I’m sick, and yes, I’m totally in awe of the latest episode I saw about the Moon and Mars.  Of course we’re not alone… duh.

I probably just lost half my readers, didn’t I?

Are you a Pottermore fan?  Have you visited lately?  If you haven’t in the last couple of days, you really should.  There’s a whole new “Hogwarts Experience” as soon as you enter the site.  If first person shooter games make you sick, beware!!!  Otherwise, it is amazing and totally up to their sterling standards, although I have no clue how you get inside (do you?)

Thank you to HarperCollins, Macmillan, and Disney-Hyperion!

I thought of this song while I was watching Ancient Aliens.  This is one of my most favorite songs from years ago… enjoy 🙂

Have a fabulous week!

  1. Ancient Aliens is the bomb. Of course the moon is hollow and is a space ship. Wait… doesn’t everyone know that??!?

I love the pyramid shows too, where they talk about the tunnels and how they point towards Orion and all that shit. I can watch those all day long.

Love the song. Haven’t heard them in ages…

    • I knew you’d understand me!!! And Teotihuacan – how they have no clue who built it but the Aztecs kind of found it and said, “Hey! We’ll live here!” That tunnel with mica!! Even with his crazy hair, Giorgio is my guy!

    • Oh, phew! I am normal… I’m just so behind everyone else b/c I’m just now learning about the whole hollow moon thing! 🙂

    • I am actually feeling better today!! YAY!! I had a cup of coffee last night before bed (go figure!), didn’t take my prozac today (b/c I think that messed with the Imitrex weird yesterday), and I’ve had Burger King for greasy food fix. Your wishes are working!!!!!! Thanks!!!

  2. Migraines are horrible. It took a while to get my medicine right. I have one I take everyday and two that I take when /i first feel one coming on. They seem to work, the only downfall. The one makes me sleepy. 🙁 I hope you feel better.

I like the books you got, they look great! Happy reading.

  3. P&F = <3! Okay, I'm not really on board with the moon as an alien ship, even if that would be cool as hell. BUT, I do think about stuff like that .. where Earth has been visited already a long time ago. I wish we could know for sure what's out there. Anyway, hope that brain of yours gets some relief. 🙁

  4. Ugh migraines are the devil!
I also added Drunk Dial to my TBR this week. It’s sitting shouting at me from kindle but I’m waiting until I can give it my undivided attention. 🙂
