The Sunday Post is a meme hosted by Kimba at Caffeinated Reviewer and it’s a chance to showcase new books and re-cap your week of blogging.
Fall is here! Temperatures here in Southeast Michigan have cooled down immensely because, yep, that’s crazy Midwest weather. Red Wings hockey officially starts this coming week but sadly, my Tigers’ season ended in August. But I think I’m the only one on Earth not looking forward to the fall pumpkin spice drinks at Starbucks, McD’s, Tim Horton’s… where ever. Blech, too sweet 😛
Last weekend we saw the Lego Ninjago movie and I’ve got to say, it was really funny! I thought it was really well-written and much better than the Batman movie. My hub is anxiously waiting for Thursday night this week… (dum dum dum….) Bladerunner 2049. I grew up with Sci-fi nut parents so I was (am still) always hearing my dad grumble about not being able to watch the theatrical version of Bladerunner anymore. Let it go, Dad….
A bit of tech-y news in case you weren’t aware: Google, the company behind Chrome, has begun labeling sites that are “http:” as “Not Secure”. They began doing this with sites that handle credit card payments or take other information. Starting on October 24th, you’ll see this more on other sites. The best article that explains this, with pictures 🙂 is this ONE.
How does this affect you? Not much really. As review blogs, we don’t take payments. But, if you have a business blog, you may want to look into this. And there’s different kinds at different price levels. I purchased a single certificate for my design business blog for about $30.
I’m NOT an expert on these things so definitely do your homework if you think this will impact you.
