“I did not see that coming” How often can you say that about a mystery, or about any book these days? Hey, how about a young adult book? Well, have I got a book for you!
Test Drive, the first book in Marie Harte’s Body Shop Bad Boys series is THE classic story of two people dating and all the jitters, butterflies, wondering, and miscommunication that comes along with it.
Before I begin, can I just say that I love that the main character’s name is “Jill”?! What a completely normal, everyday name!! I have total love for that.
You ever look for something so hard, say for instance your eye glasses, and you look… and you look… and you look, only to suddenly find them shoved up on your head? A lot of times, that’s what love is like.
A long-haired, mountain-of-a-man billionaire? You say he’s made his own money because he’s smart. Well now, that’s something different….
I bought and read the first book in Sarina Bowen’s True North series, Bittersweet, back in early July 2016 just after it came out. Unfortunately, I never got around to doing a full review on it but I really loved the escape to a dairy farm and orchard up in Vermont. I missed her second book, Steadfast, but out TODAY is Keepsake, the third book.
I love anything pop culture, comic book, or gaming related that I can bond over with my son and husband. That’s why I’m reviewing something a little different today. Enjoy the break!
I’m stoked to be participating in Ms. Robson’s tour for her newest book in her Weird Girls series, Of Flame and Light. It’s out NOW!!
I can appreciate a deep, meaningful read but sometimes, I love a good no-brainer romance that’ll put a smile on my face as I’m reading the last sentence. Anytime […]
Why, oh why did I look at my friend’s reviews of this one? What was I thinking?? I’ve just put pressure on myself to explain my love of this story. I’ve got to list my reasons and have them make sense. This is such a daunting task for me because it’s rare for me to make much sense. Just ask my husband.
The unique storytelling format added a ton of humor to this second chance romance with the added story about “crazy” parents (tongue firmly in cheek).
I had been waiting for this book since December of 2015. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. The cover caught my eye but it was the synopsis that nabbed me and reeled me in. And as readers, we’re surprised when a book turns out a little bit different than what we expected, whether for the good or the bad. Okay, maybe you aren’t but I am, every time it happens to me.
How did you learn about “love”? I’m talking romantic love. Not the family, you got to love ’em kind of “love”. Most people learn from watching the people around them. You learn what kind of love you want…
Would you believe that I actually read this book AND then joined the book tour? Yep, I enjoyed this story THAT much. So besides a review, I can share an excerpt and a tour-wide giveaway. I so smart 🙂
I’ve just read my first Jill Shalvis book. Where have you been all my life, “Jill Shalvis books”? Oops, there’s one sitting on my bookshelf, unread. Dammit. I […]
Color me clueless, but I had no idea the cover image was a rose engulfed in flame. Well, that kind of explains a lot…. Too bad it took me the entire story to figure it out because that really is a beautiful cover!
This is going to be one of the easiest reviews I’ve ever written.
So there’s this Queen that can keep everyone safe from the mean, nasty natural spirits that inhabit this world. The Queen can do this by controlling these water, fire, earth, wood, and air spirits by using the power they gave her over them. Do you see anything wrong with this scenario? Oh, yeah, a lot can go wrong…
If I was asked after BEA 2016 to pick the one book I received that I was most intrigued about and excited to read, I would have answered Sarah […]
I love stories with the soft spoken, hard working, tough guy who is nothing but a gentleman to the ladies. Yep, I like a strong guy 🙂
Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier is one of my most favorite books to get at BEA 2016. It’s a sentimental favorite for several reasons.
What a diamond in the rough I found! On a whim, I picked up Cheryl Etchison’s Here and Now, the second book in her American Valor series.
I love me some hockey. Hockey season is right around the corner and I have mad love and respect for those men who move at super speed on ice AND do it standing on thin blades of metal. Go Red Wings!! Oh, wait… this is a book review! And for a NEW favorite contemporary romance writer of mine… I better start focusing…
It’s getting so very close to that time of the year when you snuggle up on bleacher seats under the lights on Friday nights, or you tailgate Saturday mornings, or you waste away a Sunday on your couch in front of the TV. Need to get the mood going early with a side of romance?
