I was interested in reading “Halfway Perfect” by Julie Cross and Mark Perini because I really enjoyed Ms. Cross’ book, “Third Degree” that came out last year. It was such a fun, clever, and romantic story. “Halfway Perfect” turned out to be a totally different type of story than “Third Degree” and maybe my disappointment in not getting another “Third Degree” clouded my enjoyment of this one. Ever have that happen to you? Have your expectations all set for one thing and then get served another? That’s kind of what happened to me here.
Author: Julie Cross
Julie Cross heard I liked her short story in the new adult anthology I recently reviewed. So she wrote an entire book for me. She even managed to get it written, edited, proofed, and published really quick!
What? You don’t believe me?! Yeah, you really shouldn’t believe the crazy that comes out of my mouth and makes it way to my reviews sometimes….
So, you’re not sure you like the new adult genre. You’re not sure it’s for you. It’s too contemporary, too real, too angsty, too… whatever! My suggestion? Try an anthology. Try THIS anthology. It’s only $1.99 on Kindle and Nook.
