Like your romance a little dirty? Ah, c’mon… I can admit it, I do! Sophie Jordan can write fun historicals but oh, can she write dirty bad boys…
Author: Sophie Jordan
Being second book in a series is always tough. “Sophomore slump” is what they call it when the second book doesn’t live up to the quality of the first […]
I wasn’t sure what to make of this new series by Sophie Jordan. What I mean to say is, guys in prison don’t really do it for me. But it was Sophie Jordan, it was a fresh new series so I took a chance… and I don’t regret it.
Disclaimer right off the bat: I adore Sophie Jordan’s writing. I’ve read some of her romances and I like what she does with a romance. So it was about time I got to her more fantastical reads.
Historical romances and I have a tenuous relationship. For a long time I resisted getting wrapped up in this genre of books. I’ve had less than good luck with them in the past. Last month, I saw Sophie Jordan had a new historical releasing soon. I loved Sophie Jordan’s new adult books, but she’s actually KNOWN for her historicals. Perhaps I should try again…
I have an excerpt from Sophie Jordan’s second book in her The Debutante Files, All the Ways to Ruin a Rogue to share with you today. This historical romance just came out this week Tuesday but you can get your taste right now!
Writing romance is nothing new for Sophie Jordan. She’s been doing it for a while now with historical romances. But I absolutely LOVED her first book in her Ivy Chronicles series, Foreplay. This New Adult series has books with simple, silly titles that actually completely capture the entire story in one word.
It’s Wednesday, what are you waiting on???
One of my favorite books of 2013 was Sophie Jordan’s first book from her Ivy Chronicles series, Foreplay. I’m beyond excited for the second book in the series, Tease, which comes out May 27th, 2014. The trailer for Tease is premiering TODAY, as in right now and I have it here! Enjoy 😉
So, you’re not sure you like the new adult genre. You’re not sure it’s for you. It’s too contemporary, too real, too angsty, too… whatever! My suggestion? Try an anthology. Try THIS anthology. It’s only $1.99 on Kindle and Nook.
After so many new adult books with broken souls as couples, how about a sweet romance? You got it!! Only soooo much hotter!! 😉
