Did I just read one of the nicest, purest romances ever? Perhaps….
I’m not one to read girly, friendship-type books. I actually run away in the opposite direction from them. But when I picked up the review copy of The Unexpected Everything, I had no clue that ‘friendship’ was a pretty big part of the story’s plot. Turned out, it wasn’t that painful for me to endure.
I grabbed The Hurricane by R.J. Prescott because I’m always up for a “new to me” author and I saw the good reviews for this book. The story of a gym-rat boxer turned up-and-coming amateur boxer who falls for a reserved, shy girl running from a horrific past absolutely melted my heart. This is a story that is not easy to put down for too long.
