Review: Forgotten Promises by Jessica Lemmon

According to Ms. Lemmon’s “Acknowledgements” page at the end of Forgotten Promises, she was asked for a story with an “anti-hero”. I have to say she nailed the anti-hero perfectly when she created the character of Tucker Noscalo. His story and how he changed Morgan Young was not at all what I expected and by the end, it was so much more.

Review: Not Okay, Cupid by Heidi R. Kling

I love a good young adult romantic romp. They are great for cleansing the brain after dramatic, stress filled reads or for reading on cold, rainy days. These simple, sunshine-filled books are not meant to be serious. I only ask that they have a decent story and be well written. This book accomplished one of these requirements and kind of sort of missed on the other. Let me explain…

Review: What’s Broken Between Us by Alexis Bass

I think it’s pretty well known that I don’t normally read contemporary fiction that deals with serious issues. Review: Crave by Jennifer Dawson

Completely different than any romance I’ve ever read before… How many times have you read those words in a book review? Probably quite a bit. But I have no other way to say it – Crave had an intense, emotional story I wasn’t expecting.

Review: Hot Holiday Nights by Jaci Burton

Hot Holiday Nights fit perfectly into my reading “repertoire”. It had Christmas vacation getaway appeal, a romantic fling with a hot surfer, and then a story about opening new doors in your life and taking chances when opportunity (and LOVE) plop themselves down into your lap.

Review: A SEAL Forever by Anne Elizabeth

Well, this is a new one for me!  A NICE slow romance built around a strong central protagonist – and it ain’t the girl in the relationship!  I so enjoyed this deep look into our military men and the challenges our bravest face in all facets of their lives.  Toss […]

Review: A Bad Boy for Christmas by Jessica Lemmon

Ahhh, Christmas themed books…  good or bad, they WILL get you into the mood for the holidays.  But what if a “holiday” story took you from Halloween all the way through to Christmas?  Wouldn’t that be spectacular?  Well, “spectacular” is right here because Jessica Lemmon may have titled the book […]
