Color me clueless, but I had no idea the cover image was a rose engulfed in flame. Well, that kind of explains a lot…. Too bad it took me the entire story to figure it out because that really is a beautiful cover!
I might own a few of Kiersten White’s previous books. I might not have read them yet, either. I may have to change that immediately.
When an author as prolific as Christina Dodd invites you to share in the cover reveals for the re-releases of her hugely popular Governess Brides Series, you listen. Or rather, I listened!
I’m slowly getting caught up on all the fabulous books I read while my blog was down. Even though these are quick reviews, it’s my chance to make sure you notice these books for those times when you’re standing in front of the stacks at the library and you have no clue what you want to read. OR, better yet, put them on your Amazon wishlist and watch out for those price drops!
I freakin’ bawled my eyes out when I finished reading this final book in the Crown and Key trilogy. Heads up people – if you want to read this series, start at book one, The Shadow Revolution, and don’t skip book two, The Undying Legion. Only then will you properly and fully enjoy the complete experience of the Crown and Key trilogy (*cue the John Williams music*).
Today I’m featuring an intriguing new novel from authors Stephanie Dray and Laura Kamoie. They collaborated on a historical novel based on Thomas Jefferson’s oldest daughter, Patsy, and her life in her father’s shadow. Below the beautiful cover is your chance at receiving an eARC through Edelweiss. Good Luck!!
Historical romances and I have a tenuous relationship. For a long time I resisted getting wrapped up in this genre of books. I’ve had less than good luck with them in the past. Last month, I saw Sophie Jordan had a new historical releasing soon. I loved Sophie Jordan’s new adult books, but she’s actually KNOWN for her historicals. Perhaps I should try again…
I have an excerpt from Sophie Jordan’s second book in her The Debutante Files, All the Ways to Ruin a Rogue to share with you today. This historical romance just came out this week Tuesday but you can get your taste right now!
Bare with me a moment while I compose myself. It’s been a few days since I finished reading this and in reviewing my notes I’m getting all my feelies again….
I absolutely adore this series. Okay, I might be a wee bit biased because Susan Dennard is one of the coolest authors in the entire world. I’ve met and chatted with her and she is so incredibly down to earth normal it’s sick. And is she adorable or what?! Yeah, yeah, she’s a Michigan author, what are you going to do about it? Let me spew her greatness for a few sentences and I’ll get to the review eventually…
