The last Billionaire Bad Boys book, The Billionaire Next Door, gave us readers a brief introduction to the middle Crane brother who has been practically absent from the series. Eli Crane came in like a wrecking ball and refused to leave my mind. I knew this veteran would be trouble […]
Jamie, I don’t like you. Why am I reading a book about you? 😉
A long-haired, mountain-of-a-man billionaire? You say he’s made his own money because he’s smart. Well now, that’s something different….
Why, oh why did I look at my friend’s reviews of this one? What was I thinking?? I’ve just put pressure on myself to explain my love of this story. I’ve got to list my reasons and have them make sense. This is such a daunting task for me because it’s rare for me to make much sense. Just ask my husband.
I’ve been wanting to read Katee Robert for a while now. Don’t you just hate feeling like the last person to “know” when all your reading friends are reading an author, raving this and that about the books. And you are getting left behind in the dust behind your huge […]
I grabbed The Hurricane by R.J. Prescott because I’m always up for a “new to me” author and I saw the good reviews for this book. The story of a gym-rat boxer turned up-and-coming amateur boxer who falls for a reserved, shy girl running from a horrific past absolutely melted my heart. This is a story that is not easy to put down for too long.
It’s easy for me to sit here and write book reviews. I read a book, I take notes, I write what I think and feel. It’s not rocket science. When I have to write a negative review, though, I cringe… and hope no one starts stalking me.
Ahhh, Christmas themed books… good or bad, they WILL get you into the mood for the holidays. But what if a “holiday” story took you from Halloween all the way through to Christmas? Wouldn’t that be spectacular? Well, “spectacular” is right here because Jessica Lemmon may have titled the book […]
I want to recommend this book to every 18 -29 year old I know. Heck, I just want to recommend it to everyone. It’s not so much that this is book is piece of literary excellence; it’s good but it won’t be one of the great classics. The overall message of this story, or at least half the message, is what I “preach” to every young girl I meet who will allow me talk their ear off. It’s also partly the life I’ve actually lived.
Even though this series was panning out to be such a toll on my psyche, I was truly invested in Quinton’s soul and his redemption. Yet more great writing from Ms. Sorensen, just a wee bit more shredding of MY soul…
