Before I begin, can I just say that I love that the main character’s name is “Jill”?! What a completely normal, everyday name!! I have total love for that.
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine. We share those books we can’t wait to get our hands on!
Lori Foster, besides being an all-around fabulous human, is an author I know I can go to for a well written romance that 9 times out of 10, will include a bit of suspense to keep my heart rate up all the way to a happily ever after. In Don’t Tempt Me, Ms. Foster even offers up double the happiness by the end of the story – a veritable two for one 😉
This completely appropriate-for-the-YA-crowd story is about what happens when everything you’ve been taught to believe is complete and utter nonsense, just to get you to comply for the greater good.
Well, I went and did it again. As soon as I was done reading Firstlife, I ran to Goodreads to see how many of my friends had read it and what they had thought about.
Armie, Armie, Armie… what are we going to do with your sex-lovin’, raunchy t-shirt wearin’ sweet ass? I have some ideas. Merissa Colter has had ideas for years…
Holding Strong and Tough Love are books two and three (respectively) of Lori Foster’s Ultimate series – a romance series based around up and coming MMA fighters. I’m doing both reviews today because my blog was broke when Holding Strong came out and with Tough Love coming out next week, it’s time to talk Lori Foster!
I absolutely LOVED this ghost story!!! I don’t think I’ve ever read a better one 🙂 I will disclaim that statement with the fact that I haven’t read all that many ghost stories. My experience is mostly urban fantasy stories with ghosts as side characters and not really a huge part of the plot.
Rich billionaire rescues broke college student living a trailer park? HELLS to the NO’S!!! Ann Aguirre writes realistic love stories and she’s blown me away again with her second book in the 2B Trilogy. No sophomore slump here.
Ann Aguirre writes science fiction, dystopian, and paranormal novels, right? I don’t believe it! Really, I can not imagine it! THIS story is about the real-est love story I have read in a long time! I usually hate reality but I completely ate up the message of this story and I was cheering at the end. Who cheers at the end of books? I DO!
Oh, what a road we ride down to get to Cannon and Yvette’s HEA! Hop in, I’ll give you a few directions 😉
Hard Knocks is an introduction novella to Ms. Foster’s Ultimate series.
Book geek rule #11: Thou shall NOT read the books in a series out of order or skip books entirely. Learn it, live it, love it 🙂
Here lies another author that I’ve wanted to read for a long time. Cara Lynn Shultz is known for her Spellbound series. It’s a well reviewed young adult paranormal series and one that I’ve wanted to read but, yeah… have never gotten around to (story of my life). So as soon as I saw that she had a new series coming out I jumped all over it.

While I absolutely LOVED the plot, the world Ms. Kagawa has imagined for her vampires and human survivors, and the HEA ending to this series/trilogy, it was the wordy, slow start to the book that held me back from giving it a five star review. But trust me when I say that once the blood starting hitting the walls, I was ALL IN!!!!
Today I’m back to regularly scheduled reviews and such with a review for one of my favorite PNR series and a giveaway for an e-copy of it.
To celebrate the upcoming release of the second book in her Execution Underground series, Immortal Hunter, Kait Ballenger is offering a fantastic giveaway! This is one of my favorite new paranormal romance series so I’m super excited to be participating in the upcoming blog tour!
White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout is out today and I say RUN and grab it if you love urban fantasy, YA, romance, gargoyles, and demons sprinkled with some zombie-like wraiths…
Ms. Carter is back and she’s back with a HUGE win with Pawn. I really enjoyed her Goddess Test series but this series is so unrelated, so different, it’s almost as if another author wrote this book. But it’s Ms. Carter’s talented writing style that I immediately recognize in the action sequence that starts from page one and never stops until the very end.
It’s the sweet fact that these two opposites can make it to each other in the end that totally makes this story for me. I think Ms. Ballenger has a great start to a series here – she’s a new favorite author of mine now!!! I’m already waiting for the next book!!!
Today I’m participating in the blog tour for Kait Ballenger’s debut novella Shadow Hunter. If you like paranormal romance, you’ll definitely like the world Ms. Ballenger has built for us! […]
